What are the tax benefits of donating?
Parisole Arts Foundation is a nonprofit, 501(c)3 organization which means all donations are tax-deductible. Your donations help retain art programs and activities for inner city residents in and around the Kansas City area thereby enhancing their lives and encouraging creative health and well being.
What happens when I donate in-kind goods, supplies, or items from your wish list?
The fair-market value of any donation is tax-deductible. The fair-market value is defined as the price at which the property would change hands between a willing buyer and a willing seller, neither being under any compulsion to buy or sell, and both having reasonable knowledge of relevant facts. Income Tax Regs. Sec. 1.170A-1(c)(2). Note: Under current federal law, when artists donate their work, they may only deduct the cost of the materials, not the fair market value of the work.
Can I donate to a specific Parisole project, sponsored group, or charity?
Yes! Instead of making a general donation, you can specify a project, event, or charity we are working with in the instructions field during the checkout process. You can view our wish list to see a brief overview of the projects we are currently working on and a list of specific supplies we need (for in-kind donations). If you do not donate to a specific project, it will be applied to the priority needs of an active project.

Parisole Arts has numerous opportunities for those serious about committing themselves. All types of positions are available so we will work with you to best match your expertise with one of our openings. Our most recent calendar of opportunities can be found here.
Complete our online application and be sure to indicate your level of interest, how much time you can donate, and which areas you are most interested in. Volunteers will receive a Parisole Arts t-shirt once they have donated 30 hours of service.
Volunteers under the age of 18 must submit a printed application signed by their parent or guardian.
