LESSON PLAN ART FORMS

Parisole Arts offers a variety of art forms that can be tailored to any lesson plan. Each student receives a certificate of completion and some provide a keepsake. We provide most supplies for each class. Choose any combination or variety for what you would like our staff to teach your children. Additional art forms can be offered upon request. Contact us for full details.

Visual Arts

Drawing subject-driven classes using sketch, caricatures, abstract reflection, and plein (pronounced “plain”) air which is a french technique for painting what you see outdoors

Art Journaling creating a journal with altered art and mixed media techniques

Tie Dye* a technique accomplished by folding material into a pattern, binding it with string or rubber bands, and then dyeing

Batik* a technique of dyeing fabrics using wax as a repellent to cover parts of a design

Paper Crafting students use papers, stickers, stamps, and embellishments to create greeting cards, napkins, scrapbooking, and masks

Soap Making* glycerine soaps are a real easy heat and pour method for making your own colorful and fragrant soap

Candle Making* three fun and easy techniques are used to make unique candles

Mosaics* create images or a beautiful collage by glueing broken pieces of tile, glass, beads and/or stone to a surface then grouting between the pieces, or pouring cement into a mold and placing your broken pieces of tile into it

Ceramics* a pottery wheel is used to make a variety of ceramics (cups, vases, bowls, etc.)

Container Gardens air dry clay is used to create a flower pot and embellished with jewels, beads, tiles, and paint. Students plant a peat pellet and herb or flower seeds of their choice in their decorated pot to take home and watch their creation come to life

Performing Arts

Creative Dance/Movement Exercise interpretive dance, stretching, and fun movement to a variety of beats

Hula Hoop interactive stretching, moving and hoop play with the option to make your own hoop in a variety of tape colors

Juggling the art of object manipulation including juggling balls, clubs, and contact juggling (balancing and moving a sphere on one hand); comes with take-home set of practice juggling balls

Poi a form of dance, where weights on the ends of tethers are swung through rhythmical patterns; class begins with stretches and teaches beginner level patterns; comes with take-home set of soft poi which can be decorated by students
